2005 Challenge Cup
The
race
series
this
year
will
start
on
Tuesday
23rd
August
&
the
next
two
Tuesdays.
The
race
will
start
at
the
bottom
of
'Follow
through'
at
6.30pm
on
the
first
two
Tuesdays
&
6.15pm
on
the last
one.
The
races
will
be
handicapped.
The
course
will
include
'Foot
&
Mouth'
'Wave
of
Mutilation'
&
'White
Jam'
which
means
the
course
is
very
technical
&
challenging
(which
means
the
potential
for
falling
off
is
high,so
beware).
The
laps
are
3miles
long
&
there
will
be
3
laps.
As
we
have
official
permission
from
the
forestry
commission
to
run
the
races,
we
have
had
to
pay
a
fee.
Consequently,
we
have
had
to
charge
an
entry
fee
this
year
of
£20
for
all
three
races.
However,
there
will
be
prizes
&
once
the
£360
is
recouped
for
the
forrestry
com
charges
all
remaining
monies
will
go
towards
the
prizes.
There
will
be
parking
at
the
entry
to
Redlands.
And
Simon
will
be
at
the
course
all
afternoon
so
if
you
want
to
check
things
out
get
there
as
soon
as
you
can.
Ideally
you
would
need
to
be
there
3/4hr
b/4
the
start
to
get
your
start
time.
After
the
final
race
there
will
be
a
Bar-B-Q
at
the
start
if
dry
&
at
Neil
Lodge's
National
trust
house
at
the
bottom
of
Ranmore
in
Westcott
if
wet,
bring
your
own
meat.
