Motolite
Review
by Simon Thomas
Titus Motolite
Pulled the Titus out of the box & instantly thought how much like
a Yeti it looked.
A bit beefier
& a horst
link instead
of the carbon
or aluminium
flex link on
the seat stays
of the Yeti.
Over the last
12months I've
been riding
5" travel
bikes &
have started
to do things
I never thought
I would do.
Bikes like the
Turner 5spot
& Dawg primo
have changed
the way I look
at things &
consequently
the way I ride.
I was hopeful that the Titus would fit into this category of bike &
fortunately
it did. Straightaway
I felt comfortable
on the bike,
I felt so confident
that within
the first 200yards
I did my first
jump on it.
Jumping logs,
technical descents,
drop offs, singletrack
& steep
climbs were
all handled
with ease. The
chassis is balanced
close to the
centre of the
bike which makes
it easy to flick
the bike around
& feels
very secure.
All in all it
felt very similar
to the bikes
I have been
riding. Is it
better than
the 5 spot or
primo? In my
opinion it reaches
the high standards
both those bikes
set -5"
travel bikes
that can handle
everything you
throw at them.
Each bike has
it's own characteristics
& may suit
a particular
persons riding
style only the
rider himself
can say, which
is why we have
them as demo's.
In the past year or so full suspensions have come so far. No longer trading
off plushness
against 'bob'
Now, they descend
great &
climb great
as well. Mountain
biking just
gets better
& better!!!

Chris
Cocalis designed
his first bike

ago. He now
employs 20 people
& has a

began using
a genuine four

"if it
ain't broke
why fix it"
they have continued
to do so. Cartridge
bearings are
used throughout
with four bearings
being
used on the
main pivot.
