ROUTES
AND RIDES - Trails
Sunday
ride 17th Aug 2003
This Sundays ride was probably the longest
one we've done.
The group was
small &
consequently
any little whippets
pulling at the
bit (you know
who you are!) were
given their
head & allowed
to charge. Technically
challenging
as well as fast
there were no
prisoners taken.

After taking
in Ranmore &
all the delights
that are on
offer there
we took in Shere,
Winterfold forest
& a relatively
new track called
'a nod's as
good as a wink'.
On to Blackheath
& up St
Martha's &
then finally
a pit stop at
Newlands Corner.
After refuelling
we did a track,
which our Saturday
ride have been
raving about
for a while
but the Sunday
ride had yet
to ride. Christened
'hot rat's'
it was as good
as reported.
A not too technically
demanding singletrack
which just goes
on forever.
Then we started
the long trek
back to the
shop & returned
after closing
time!

Rod was still
raring to go,
Salsa Dave looked
in a state of
shock, but he
did it so good
on you Dave.
