The conditions were unbelievably wet & slippery, but we had a fab time. By picking our route carefully & sticking to Leith Hill where the riding remains good all year round, we managed to have one of the best rides of the year so far. We went back to practising some basic techniques ie. log jumping, which sounds simple, but can be quite tricky. Matt managed to take a nice video of all the shenanigans.

The conditions were great for the Saturday Freeride ride, so we took advantage of them before it gets a bit too wet & muddy for the winter. Headed over to 'Contraflow' & had a whale of a time with a few thrills & spills but some riders succeeding in nailing some tricky jumps. Thanks again to Dan for the filming & editing

There was a good turn out for the Saturday freeride practice ride which included some new faces & some old returning ones. Conditions were good so we headed over to Ranmore to conquer 'Reformation'. Amy was the star of the show who had travelled up from Cornwall to ride with us. Luckily this meant she could visit her brother, Matt, who lives nearby as well. She went from not jumping to jumping a 14ft gap jump, this didn't happen by luck, she listened to what Simon had to say then followed …

There was a good turn out for the Nirvana Saturday ride. Unsurprising , considering it felt like the first day of spring. There was a mixture of abilities so we headed over to 'Head's Roll' to get a bit of practice in & build everyones confidence up over some jumps. We then bimbled on over to Leith hill for some wiggle waggle riding which if you've ridden with Simon you'll know exactly what that is! Lots of twists, turn, ups & downs. So 20 years ago to the day, we opened our doors with eager expectations & our Sunday ride began. Who would have thought all this time later we would still be leading a ride out on a Sunday. The rain had abated from the dreary drizzle from the day before & the sun made an appearance every now & then. For the Saturday ride we headed over to Mickleham & after perfect conditions yesterday where the trails were frosty but grippy. Today was warmer & slippy! Spent a bit of time practicing some jumps to get warmed up & build up the confidence. Then we all proceeded to slide down the hill, well all apart from Dan who filmed the video & consequently we don't get to see his masterclass!
