⚡ The Ultimate Do-It-All E-MTB: Introducing the All-New Nukeproof Kilowatt
Beringen, Belgium — Today at Eurobike, Nukeproof has officially pulled back the curtain on an all-new e-bike platform that is set to redefine the heavy-travel category: the Nukeproof Kilowatt. Developed for riders looking for a single, high-performance machine that can handle everything from quick local trail laps to rugged, big-mountain enduro stages, the Kilowatt delivers a perfect harmony of power, low weight, and agile geometry.
The platform is available in two frame options—Kilowatt Alloy and Kilowatt Carbon—across a 4-model lineup starting at an impressive £3,999 / €4,499 and topping out at £7,999 / €8,999.
As detailed in the PRESS RELEASE. nukeproof.kilowatt.docx and nukeproof_kilowatt_blog_post.pdf, this release balances aggressive performance with an incredibly sleek, analog-inspired silhouette.
🛠️ The Spec Highlights: Built to Charge
-
Suspension: 160mm front / 150mm rear travel, using a refined iteration of Nukeproof’s signature four-bar Horst Link suspension system paired with a stiff, single-piece linkage.
-
Wheel Setup: Mixed-wheel "mullet" configuration as standard, with full 29-inch compatibility enabled via an adjustable flip-chip.
-
Electronics: Powered by the cutting-edge Avinox E-Bike System (featuring the ultra-powerful Avinox M2S motor on most models, and the Avinox M2 on the opening Comp build).
-
Battery: Clean, non-removable 800Wh downtube battery (optimized to a 600Wh battery on small frames due to space constraints).
-
Elite Componentry: High-powered SRAM Maven brakes (DB4 on the entry-level model), premium DT Swiss e-bike wheelsets on carbon builds, and gravity-ready Schwalbe tires across the entire range.

⚙️ Shared DNA: Seamless Frame Engineering
Whether you pick the carbon or alloy model, you get the exact same aesthetic presence on the trail. Nukeproof collaborated closely with an advanced automotive-heritage casting manufacturing partner to engineer a highly intricate, one-piece investment-cast motor bracket. This design serves as the alloy frame's core, incorporating sleek interior tube-in-tube mechanic-friendly cable routing while perfectly mimicking the smooth, seamless silhouette of the molded carbon frame.
Both frames feature asymmetric chainstays and seatstays, providing optimized stiffness and tracking out on the trail. Weight-saving and extreme integration mean the top-tier Carbon Factory model tips the scales at just 22.2kg (Size Medium, without pedals).
🎙️ From the Team
"We wanted to make sure the alloy frame on the Kilowatt was our best alloy frame yet, bringing together the best of our existing alloy frames (Scout, Reactor, Mega etc) and also bring in some of the features we've been doing in carbon... The shape of the motor bracket ties the tubes together beautifully and closely mimics the seamless look of the carbon frame."
— Tom Bugler, Alloy Kilowatt Product Manager
"The result is a proven suspension design that delivers exceptional small-bump sensitivity and traction at the start of the travel, while providing the mid-stroke support and composure demanded by hard-charging, aggressive riders. Blending playful handling with serious capability, it is a true do-it-all machine."
— Steve Jamison, Carbon Kilowatt Product Manager

📅 Availability
The Nukeproof Kilowatt range is debuting right now at Eurobike and is expected to hit authorized dealer showrooms later this year. Both premium carbon models will ship standard with a high-capacity 12A fast charger to get you back on the dirt faster.
